We have been successfully delivering TI construction services in the Northwest since 2001 by offering complete TI preconstruction, construction, LEED construction, and building maintenance and tenant services.

Nick joined Gateway in 2012, bringing more than 19 years of construction experience as a project engineer and project manager. Many of his projects have Nick exercising his skills in mediation and teamwork as he manages project relationships between Gateway, partnering architects, and project owners. He is LEED accredited and specializes in high-end office, hospitality, retail, and building renovations, as well as capital improvements.

Cris founded Gateway in 2001 and is the acting CSO. Cris implements common practices and operational procedures throughout the company to improve our ability to provide the highest quality construction services. With an emphasis on customer service, Cris developed construction services for specific markets that facilitate the success and growth of our corporate clients. By focusing on the success of our clients, Cris and Gateway have built long lasting relationships based on trust and proven performance.

Cris has implemented the following formula for success: a comprehensive construction process, effective project management, and a passionate pursuit of quality. He has always believed that the success of a company is a direct reflection of the team supporting it, and he strives to obtain the top talent the industry has to offer.

Chuck Porter

With 25 years of accounting experience and 18 years in the construction industry, Chuck is key to Gateway’s growth through strategic financial planning. After earning his bachelor’s degree in accounting, Chuck worked for a Fortune 100 company as an auditor, senior financial analyst, and manager of capital. Chuck has served as Gateway’s CFO since 2005.

Chuck also serves as board member for of the Puget Sound Construction Financial Management Association in Seattle, WA. His favorite pastime is cheering on his daughter, Morgan, who played midfield for the University of Idaho Vandals.

Greg Slader

Greg started his construction career in the field as a superintendent and then moved into project management to develop a more comprehensive set of construction skills. Greg has delivered projects across the Northwest over the last 25 years, having built everything from custom homes, large commercial projects such as casinos and churches, to commercial interiors, and LEED certified tenant improvement projects. Greg’s unique experience as a project and field leader is a great resource to the Gateway team.

On most weekends, you will find Greg escaping the city for his property on Whidbey Island or exploring one of the Northwest’s beautiful landscapes.

Tyler Leland

Tyler, principal at Gateway construction joined the team in 2013. Originally from Oregon, Tyler graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in construction management and immediately established roots in Seattle. Tyler brings over 20 years of experience including work with concrete tilt ups, retail ground up, medical, and high end tenant improvements. Since joining Gateway, Tyler has been responsible for several of the Puget Sound’s most exclusive interior build-outs. Tyler is often sought out for medical office, tech office, industrial, law firms, and financial institutions.

Tyler and his team have proven to be great partners while working with developers, tenants, clients, and brokers.

When out of the office, He enjoys spending time with his wife Hannah and their two daughters.
